Emmy is a chatty lady whose priority is people. While she isn’t a lap cat she likes lots of attention including hugs and kisses. She’s gentle with people and a meow will let you know she’s had enough cuddles. Emmy would do best in a lively household. She is fond of elementary school age children and would prefer a household with no other cats. She accepts cat friendly dogs. Emmy is energetic and enjoys interactive toys. She uses a scratching post, and doesn’t use her nails when playing with her people. When on her own Emmy has no problem entertaining herself. She enjoys watching out the windows (no attempts to go outside) and will play independently with toys. Emmy is confident; not bothered by strangers in her home and is not easily startled by loud noises. She is tidy with her food and litter and doesn't protest too much for nail trims.  If human food is left unattended she will help herself and she has been known to chew plastic (stiff bags).  With guidance she is learning to stay off counters.

Emmy would like an active family with time to spend with her.
