Schnitzel is an affectionate and social young cat. He loves to be close to his people and will happily follow his foster parent around the house so he doesn’t miss out on anything. He loves to be pet and brushed and is comfortable with being picked up. Schnitzel is still quite playful and loves to chase toys. Balls with bells and toy mice are his favourite! His favourite spot to relax and sleep is his cat tree by a large window where he can be perched up high and have a good view of the outside world. Schnitzel does have a tendency to lick and nibble on toes when he is in an affectionate mood and wants attention. His foster parent has been redirecting him to a soft toy to help him learn that toes are not for nibbling. He’s making progress and will appreciate adopters who continue this positive redirection. Schnitzel is tidy with his food, water and litter box. Schnitzel uses a vertical sisal scratching post as well as a cardboard scratcher. Nail trimmings are easily managed with two people. Schnitzel is a social cat and is always eager to welcome guests. He enjoys being present during their visit and will rub up against them to show his affection. Schnitzel tolerates young children. It is important that children can read his body language to know when he has had enough pets to avoid being swatted or nibbled on, though. Schnitzel should be an only cat in his future home but has the potential to get along with a cat-friendly dog. Schnitzel can’t wait to meet his forever family and fill their home with plenty of love, companionship and playful entertainment!
