Butter Tart
DSH Female
DOB: January 8, 2025
Butter Tart is the proper lady of her litter. She is known as the “not too” kitten, active but not too crazy, affectionate but not too needy, adventurous and inquisitive but not too cautious or curious - a perfect balance. Butter Tart loves attention from her foster family and will ask with a polite meow and wait her turn for snuggles and hugs. She is happy to join in the wrestling or chases but normally does not initiate the action. She also likes to push a ball through a track and will gracefully stop if one of her siblings joins in too aggressively. Her favourite activity is batting at anything that hangs - toys on strings waved by her foster family, balls on strings on the cat tree or laces from clothes. Butter Tart has a great vertical leap and can be quite acrobatic to catch her toys. She also likes to jump on a high cat tree and will spend time on the top perch in the sun watching the birds in the backyard. Flowing water and sinks are very attractive to Butter Tart and she has been known to curl up in the bathroom sink. Not often by herself, Butter Tart normally snuggles with her sisters for naps and loves to have a cuddle puddle with them and their foster family. Watch your toes and fingers - Butter Tart loves to jump on them if they move under the covers. She also loves to take the opportunity to groom her siblings even if they don’t want it. Butter Tart takes digging in the litter box very seriously and makes sure there is a deep hole so a high sided litter box is recommended for her. She is friendly with the older cat and loves to try and catch his tail, but was a bit hesitant at first with the foster family dog, although she did warm up once she was more comfortable. A family without very young children would be ideal for Butter Tart. She must have a feline friendly companion, such as another kitten or a young adult cat, in her new home.
