Nanaimo Bar is a sweet girl who loves to explore.  She was the first out of the carrier when arriving at her foster home and was the first to escape the kitten room.  Watch when opening doors - Nanaimo Bar is an expert at sneaking out and especially good at getting into rooms undetected - you turn around and there she is!  With people, Nanaimo Bar is a bit more cautious and may take a bit to warm up to her new family. Once comfortable, Nanaimo Bar loves attention from her foster family but prefers shorter snuggles and especially loves cheek rubs. She is an active kitten and is the most independent of the litter, often found chasing her favourite spring.  Nanaimo Bar has learned to carry her spring in her mouth away from her sisters in order to not have it stolen.  She still loves to play with her siblings, joining in with the chase, kitten wrestling or playing in the tunnels.  A ball in a track is also a favourite toy.  She never says no to a nap cuddled up with her foster mom.  Her other favourite places to nap are at the top of the cat tree or under the bed.  Nanaimo Bar was quick to introduce herself to the foster’s dog and older cats.  She is tidy with her litter box and happy to share that and her food/water with her siblings.  Nanaimo Bar would do best in a home with older children and/or adults who have the patience to let her adjust to her new surroundings. She must have a feline friendly companion and would enjoy living with an older cat or other kitten friendly pet.
