Rocky Road
Male DSH
Dob June 3, 2026
This adorable black-and-white boy is a sweet, gentle soul who has come a long way since arriving in foster care. He started out quite nervous and is still a little shy, but his confidence continues to grow. Once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side shines through. He loves his rubs (including the belly!) and will happily rub against his people's legs while purring up a storm. Rocky Road isn't a big fan of being picked up yet, although he has made great strides with
gentle handling and continues to practice. He really enjoys his cat tree, especially the hammock, which is his favourite spot to sleep at night. During the day, he is happy to explore and play, and his absolute favourite toy is his Cat Dancer. He can be a little tentative with new toys, but is always curious and willing to investigate. He is comfortable around dogs and has lived with both a small and a large dog in his foster home. He enjoys interacting with the resident small dog, while the older, larger dog mostly ignores him. He must have a feline-friendly animal companion in his new home and will benefit from another kitten or young adult cat to continue to mentor him. Because he is still learning to feel comfortable being handled and isn't a fan of nail trims, a home with some cat experience would be ideal. If there are children, older kids who understand and respect his boundaries would be the best fit while he continues building confidence with being held and carried.
With patience, kindness, and a little time, Rocky Road will continue to blossom into the affectionate companion he is already showing himself to be. His gentle nature, enormous purr, and sweet personality make him a very special little guy.
